I'll probably stick to light colors. :D

Things will start changing. For the most part, I shall be more responsible. Right now, though, I am enjoying times like this when I don't feel obligated to do anything yet--seizing it, yes. :) Now I begin to wonder what would life be like when THE day comes. Toxic? Ha ha. I'm not really sure what to expect but nothing. Things change, right?

Most won't probably get what I meant [in the last paragraph] but let's just say... I have been breathing for approximately 20 years, 11 months, 10 days. I've been a Taft person until December 2008. I've been to the other side of the court for 4 months. And in 4 days [thereafter] I'll be going to Taguig every day for 6 months at the least.

Hmm. Anyways, I won't stick to that topic. Thinking about it makes me feel uneasy. Don't get me wrong. I am excited and all but it'll be a new environment to adapt to.

I have been fan girling for weeks now and I cannot stop myself from googling photos of him or the group and even watching videos of them on YouTube. Lol. It has been my my fix and I can't seem to lessen my addiction. Need not post pictures on this because I am saving it for posting in my Livejournal account. Ha ha.

Had a get together with my High School buddies weeks ago and it was such a fun, fun day! It's good to see them again after only-God-knows-when months or probably year/s (applicable only to Songcerz). That day was in lieu to Queenie's birthday. Woot!

Did I make such a long post? I have to say watching One Tree Hill now felt weird without Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton. But then again, the premier was a bit dragging until the last minute of the episode. On the other hand, I liked Gossip Girl's first episode... particularly, of course, Chuck and Blair! Ha ha. I LOLed at their girl-worth-humiliating [and hunting] scene. :)) Vanessa's dramatic. For one, I have had felt so since I have crammed studying 10 modules in 5 days (with distractions present). On the other note, seeing the questions in the exam was like what-the-hell-is-going-on-here-I-don't-think-I-have-studied-that-nor-was-it-discussed-in-class. Oh good God, help me pass the course! I have tried understanding all the maths in the course but then, most of what was asked were on the comprehensive side where the answer options are almost as identical as the other! That alone is confusing.

On the lighter note, I have spent some of my time cooking or baking for the past few months. Most recently, I tried baking a muffin but I FAILED! I didn't take a picture of it because it was a total disaster. It cannot also be classified under the "muffin" category because it doesn't look like one! What is wrong with that recipe book!? I have deleted my Friendster account for the simple reason that I cannot stand people who keeps on posting useless updates on their page. However, when people started to flock in Facebook, I have felt like deleting some of my friends in the list. By useless updates I meant those who-the-hell-cares status; it's not like it's a very, very, VERY significant experience in your entire life and you need to vent it out immediately. Come on! People don't give a damn on hourly updates. People don't care about your personal statements, moreso CLAIMS, which are just posted to attract people's attention. Well, I didn't even realize it's been that long since the last entry I posted. I always try to think of updating but ended not doing it. Forgive the failed attempts. Anyways, lots of things to share but I'm not really into posting long entries, you see.

Who has not yet the latest Harry Potter movie (God, it's been half a month since I saw it)? I was quite disappointed with the intensity of the movie as a whole. Non-HP readers would be really lost in understanding the film. What I like about it, though, was the humor they put in it. There are tons of it! I literally LOLed in the scene when Slughorn said, "Harry!" in a whispering manner and Harry answered back, "Professor..." in the same manner (this was the scene when Harry was going to Hagrid's). I think I was the only one to notice their tones at the time I watched the movie. I give Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2 start out of 5-slash-satisfactory.

I have also watched The Proposal and I really liked it! I love you, Ryan Reynolds! :D I think I laughed most when Sandra Bullock's phone was taken away by the eagle and her soon-to-be in-laws were watching her run around the lawn and shouts the eagle should probably just take the dog instead of her phone. Movies... Hmmm. I love them.

Other than that, I have been addicted to playing Sims 3! Ha ha. I bought the Collector's Edition and I got a Plumbob USB. :) I love it! And it also fits the PSE ID strap I have (green strap and green plumbob). Yay! I just want to share that I am controlling 3 ghosts in my household. LOL.

My Makati nights will soon be over. This week is going to be the last of the lectures. Three weeks from now, it'll be the comprehensive exam. Good luck with that! And by the way, I passed the Civil Service Exam! I am now eligible in working for the government. :)

View Full Album

♥ Five Memorable things about my college friends

1) December escapades. This happens before Christmas break with our own families. We've been going farther since Frosh days... From Enchanted Kingdom (Laguna) to Fontana (Pampanga) to Olongapo (Zambales). It's now hard to get together coz most of them already have jobs to attend to.
2) 2008 University Week. Imagine, we played tag in the field and it was really fun!
3) Amphitheater moments. Especially around 5PM afterwards. Cool air much. :)
4) "Saan tayo kakain?" discussions for how many minutes. 'nuff said.
5) MOAments. 'nuff said again.

...because when you were in love, you were capable of knowing things you had never dared even think, because love was the key to understanding all of the mysteries.

Brida

Fixation

Because I haven’t been doing too much of anything lately, I found time to stream episodes of Boys over Flowers and at this point, I think I love it more than the Taiwan version of Hana Yori Dango. Ha ha. And I should say this or forever I’ll regret it: I get tingles whenever I see Kim Bum (So Yi Jeung) in the frame. This is what must be called fan girl tendencies. :)) I even grabbed dozens of photos of him over the net and watched some videos over Youtube even if I don’t understand any Korean words. Why is he so adorable?

This week is my free week! I do not have any classes so basically, I’m stuck here at home now. I wanted to have lunch with Merie and Kat [and Jose and Geh] but I think their busy with their jobs so there is a little probability on that.

I already watched Angels and Demons! …alone. Ha ha. Because it was bugging me since the day it was released I just had to go to the cinemas to watch it whatever it takes—including people I go watch it with.

And I must say I like the movie. Of course, parts were omitted but it’s definitely worth watching. I hated it when I got to sit beside these two girls… One of them apparently got to read the book and she was like filling in her friend about what will happen, blah blah blah. Oh God. Can’t she just shut up and watch the movie?! I mean, I was there, pretending that I haven’t read the book yet, and there she was, rambling on what she knows about the plot of the novel. Lah! You have got to be kidding me, woman!

♥ Five things I had to endure/experience/suffer just to be able to watch Angels and Demons

1) I begged my parents to allow me watch it alone… in the nearest cinema I could think of. It was Sunday and I usually watch movies on Sundays with my older sister, who happened to have something else going on the time I watched to watch Angels and Demons.
2) The air time was 4:10 PM and I was still in our house 3:50 PM… it was raining! So basically, I had to speed walk after I stepped out of the jeepney, and I slipped… TWICE! God. That was embarrassing. Both happened while I was walking in a crowded place—i.e., the pedestrian lane.
3) I had to sit beside these two people (check out the paragraph after the Angels and Demons poster above).
4) I was soaked when I entered the movie house. It was pouring and the wind is just all over so using my umbrella was put to waste. Man, it’s cold!
5) Because I arrived just in time the movie started, I wasn’t able to buy a drink and I was so thirsty that time I wanted sip Coke or iced tea. Ugh.

I sure do believe in destiny. Fate. Whatever you want to call it. Even if two people are in different worlds or miles apart, at a certain point in time when everything is in their proper places, a feeling so intense would crawl up to you and lead you, through a different kind of connection, to the other... sweeping you off your feet. creating a wave in the stagnant waters.
- Tin Castillo

Friends and Thoughts

I know I haven't been doing anything much lately except attend my grad school but it feels like ages since I made my last post.

What to tell, anyway?

Hmmm. I miss a lot of people. College friends and HS friends, basically. Angels and Demons will be showing next week and I think I won't be able to watch it with any of them since most of them are only free on Saturdays and on the 16th, I'll be off to Los Banos with my older sister and my niece, together with her officemates. Ugh. To think that I was the one excited watching it.... and I even told them before I wanted to watch it with them... :s

Speaking of friends, Merie had this idea of having dinner together with Kat and Jose whenever I am in Makati. The thing is, we have free food (but it's basically covered in the tuition fee) in Salcedo. Tss. No chances, lah!

♥ Top Five things I thought of the past few days:

1) I want to continue learning... and have fun!
2) In line with 1), every grad school day is like attending a class for the first time. It's just the thought that you get to know and talk to different people every day and learn bits of things about them.
3) It's good to know how people feel and think about you... verbally or not (something written will fall in here). You get the feeling that you are really valued.
4) I never knew I loved Statistics! :)) Ha ha. I am not a nerd, alright?
5) I have gained appreciation of Makati's business district. It is very user-friendly and even though it lacks features or some features aren't the best the market have, it is still a good buy. :)

♥ Top Five games (whatever kind) I have been addicted to:

1) Sims (I read about this first in Time magazine when the game has just been released and I instantly looked for Sims CDs)
2} Geo Challenge (The best ever Playfish game for me. Nah! :)

Yesterday night, I was having this conversation (SMS) with a friend when I suddenly told her I feel half-hearted with this whole graduation-slash-working thing. And yes, I know the "graduation" thing is just for formality but what bothers me is that I'm not quite sure if I'm ready for it... the whole thing, I mean. I have these idiosyncrasies going on and can only handle half of it.

On the other note, I haven't been trying to look for something to wear on graduation. What I have in mind is that I'll be wearing corporate attire on the day of the Baccalaureate Mass (February 4) and CBE Recognition Rites (February 6) and a dress on the graduation itself (February 7). Ha ha. I found it too costly if I try buy a dress for each event and where am I going to wear those after graduation, right? I'm not really that wear-a-dress person, you know. I'm a wear-a-jeans-slash-slacks person when I go out. :) Hmmm.

Oh, I have been trying hard on familiarizing myself on this Corel Draw Graphics Suite x4. Sex. Drugs. Rumors. Family problems. Peer pressure. Teenage pregnancy. Name it, I'm sure in one way or the other they have shown or will exhibit it on the show. So... It's a bit shocking to know Ty and Ade is going to have a baby. "A bit" means that we all know how Ade is before she became sober and Ty is just this person whom girls go gaga over. Moving on, it's sad to know what's been happening between Silver and Dixon (how do you spell it? :o). But I can't blame Dixon for feeling that way; Silver is really intense. I hope Ethan's going to be alright. Annie kasi eh! Ha ha.

Okay. I still like Chase. I still love Brucas. :)) HA HA! Oh, I like Sam! She spices up everything in Brooke's new life as a foster parent. Hmmm. The only thing that's worth watching there is Chuck. He's been through a lot and it's good to see that he has reconciled with Lily and wants to move back in with her family. Other than that, it's the same old Blair-torturing-another-person and Serena-and-Dan drama.

The pictures, by the way, are the first pictures I ever tried editing with Corel. LOL. Pathetic.

I was thinking about the two of us together, and then about myself again. I was at that age, that time of life when every sight, every feeling, every thought came back, like a boomerang, to me. Well, sort of :P

I shall and will pretend that it has not been over a month since my last post. :)) But whatever. No point in doing that.

So yeah, it's been over a month. I haven't even replied to some tag messages. Or visited anyone's site for that matter. I haven't even able to update my tumblr account! Ugh. To think that that blog is the easiest to handle of all in its kind (haha. I forgot what it's called, at the moment). But I'll tell you what... I have been spending much of my time on-line browsing people in facebook or playing Geo Challenge (I managed to score over 40,000 now which translates to the level of addiction I have). Plurk seemed to lost its appeal to me though I still keep on making these one-liner posts just to maintain my karma points.

Before anyone asks, I feel like there is a need to tell you this. And I don't really feel like answering over and over again because it makes me feel redundant much. :P I have no work yet and have not seriously applied to any company of my own liking. Well, there was a time about a week or two when I felt all confused and worked up because I cannot decide what I really wanted to do with the rest of my after-graduating status. I have these three best options: 1) take a second undergrad course; 2) take this graduate course (not really a course course because I will not receive a diploma, but rather a certificate after I completed it); and, 3) work. I have considered all the possibilities but what's good is that I can do (2) and (3) at the same time since the grad course will take Tuesday and Thursday evenings only and a Saturday morning. However, my father told me it might be better to just take the grad course so I can concentrate on it. I feel so excited it will start on April 18 but too bad my supposed classmates for this course have changed plans already (c'mon! we've talked about this during our thesis days, you know. and they're backing out now).

I reckon most of you do not know this yet but, on March 29 I'll be taking the Civil Service (Professional) Examination and I haven't really reviewed yet because I'm busy re-reading the Harry Potter series. I think I need to scavenge for the reviewer my father and my older sisters used to review for the test in the pile of books stocked in a room in our house.

If last year I tried to add bits of trivia, facts or whatnot about myself in the latter part of my posts, now, I have thought to add some of my top five's. :)

♥ Tine's Top Five Books Ever Read:

1) Veronika Decides to Die - Paulo Coelho

2) The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffeneger

3) The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

4) Angels and Demons - Dan Brown

5) Message in a Bottle - Nicholas Sparks

...I've been trying to fight things that weren't really worth the struggle. That exam will take me a step closer in working for the government. :) I know the salary they give is not as much as those given by private institutions but the benefits they give are even moooore. Well, anyways, good luck to me! :p

On the other note...

Okay. So Chuck finally conversed with Orion who basically made the intersect files. The episode is a so-so because there's really nothing new about it except for the fact that he missed the chance of finally seeing Orion and asking him personally how to get the intersect off his mind. It's just the same I-want-yt

What happens when all the things you have planned suddenly makes a 180 degree-turn? Way to go, Blair. I have been watching out on what Blair is capable of doing in the midst of how things turned out to be. Good thing Serena and Chuck are on the rescue mode and sent Carter Baizen out of the Upper East Side. Hmmm. what happened in Santorini? Vanessa, on the other note, urged Nate to attend his van der Bilt reunion but it just so happened that Nate announced that he will be spending his summer as an intern in the Mayor's office, rather than have a backpacking trip with Vanessa in Europe. Tsk, tsk. :s

Oh my God. Julian! I don't want you to go away. Ugh. I can say those three words to you, you know. Ha ha. But anyway, sometimes, the beauty is in the attempt. :D Yikeeee. Ha ha. I don't want to elaborate much on this show because I have always been crying whenever I watch it. For one, the recent episode featured Dan losing his heart because a dog picked it up and ran away. Satirical. For a moment he's on for the operation, then the next, he's not. He ends up trying to drown himself in the beach and, who knows what happened, he sat there by the beach... contemplating? Here:

That was the keypad of the phone I am using (MotoRazr2 V8).

Well, never mind. Ha ha. I want to type something spontaneous right now--without thinking the whole point of this post. It is for the simple reason I have been doing nothing really character-developing and productive things for about four months now. At least I have my grad course to look forward to. That reminds me, I haven't paid for my tuition yet but I sure hope I will next week.

I have been dying to have this phone:

The moment I saw it displayed on this shelf in a mobile shop my sister and I visited last month (she was searching for her now-phone), I fell in love with it. LOL. It's LG and I know most people prefer having a Nokia or an Ericsson or a Motorola phone since it is known to be of a real quality. But I feel like LG is as promising as every phone brand is.

I have searched Youtube.com for reviews and even though it lacks features like a high-res camera, Wi-Fi technology and full touch-screen functionality, I found myself still blown away. It's perfect for people who text and mail a lot which just fits me right now. Ha ha. I guess that's what this bum life first brought me. I have been texting random people I know a lot even if it is just about something nonsensical. Anyways, I have been digging phones with a QWERTY keypad (I almost bought SE P990i before when MotoRazr2 V8 came out and blew me away that time) which is, I think, the key feature of this phone and probably the first of LG (side-slide QWERTY keypad). Oh well. Might as well you search for LG KS360 or LG Tribe (what Italians named it) in Youtube.

♥ Top Five songs I would listen over and over again in my iPod:

1) Gavin DeGraw - Glass
2) Sum41 - With Me
3) Sponge Cola - Nocturne
4) David Archuleta- To Be With You
5) Yellowcard - How I Go

But I'm going to fight for your love. Nothing really. I haven't been doing much lately and I am officially free from any school stuff. And I want to work already and do whatever I want to. Just like what a good old friend said, "work and go to the beach.. work and travel.. work and party.. work and do other stuff at the same time!" Well, I owe her that idea. :) Love you, girl! ;)

On the other note, internet becomes such an every hour, every day thing and I am running out of site to visit. Any recommendations for a decent site to visit? Oh well. I have not been that active in plurk anymore, except that I open it and post once in a while (well, once a day is good enough).

Hmmm. I have been indulging myself in reading novels (e-books) I have acquired (downloaded, actually) through the net. It's good I have chosen feel-good readings and other interesting stuff...

1) The Quickie (the very first novel I read of a different genre—that is, it's some kind of a CSI written in a book)
2) The Time Traveler's Wife (yes, finally. After a lot of begging to a friend so she can lend me her book, I have actually downloaded an e-book of it)
3) The Lovely Bones (This is a very gooooood book. ;) I became interested on reading that one just because I have read the review of some other friend.)
4) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
5) The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
6) Girls in Pants
7) Forever in Blue (Yeay! I have finished all four. I became really lazy before so I was stuck on the second book.)
8) The Da Vinci Code (I have first watched the movie and I was left completely clueless when I did. So I have decided to read that. :D)

I am currently reading Angels and Demons when I have been stuck in who-knows-what-page in The Secret and these pending books to read...

1) The Host
2) The Life of Pi
3) After Dark

Other than that—reading books—I have been downloading and watching/re-watching movies.

1) Journey to the Center of the Earth (rollercoaster ride, baby! Interesting.)
2) Eagle Eye (the concept was brilliant... but whatever.)
3) Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (I love watching Greece :D Ha ha)
4) Pathology (...wait. My stomach just reacted... *throws up* But anyways, MILO VENTIMIGLIA! I never imagined he'll go naked there. I just thought it's just another thriller movie.)
5) Stranger than Fiction (gah! i love it love it!)
6) No Reservations (Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart! Hmmm. Cute movie. :D Mouthwatering dishes!)
7) Ghost Town (awwww.)
8) Vantage Point (I will forever love this movie!)

Okay. I won't let that this entry be photoless. So... No name, only the number. The fact that I intended to delete some numbers from my phonebook when my eldest sister gave me her phone, it gave me some feeling it must have one of those whom I deleted. To my surprise, it was Jackie, my high school friend. I felt excited because of all the places, I never imagined she would see me late night out in Makati. I was suppose to go back there but unfortunately, I missed a chance of seeing her. I was quite worried on how the hell am I suppose to go home. Anyway, I told her that I wanna see her! Too long to tell, but we arrived there around 7. Gelo was like there for two hours! I couldn't help but cry whenever I think of this damn project.

But hey, I love QUATECH.

Impossibility

9:16 AM - The clock here turns out to be so late.

Finally, I'd get the chance to do whatever I want for at least a week; as of now, there could only be one worry... course card distribution. I hope the computation of the pre-final grade Anna taught me is right (haha. coz when I computed mine, the grade I need to get a 1.0 is... something less than 10%. and that's unbelievable!)

Anyway, I need to go. I already got my grades yesterday and surprisingly, I had 2.0 as my lowest grade (okay. 4.0 in our school is the highest possible grade ever and getting 0.0 means you <strike>failed</strike>). I think it's only in my sixth term I got no 1.0 or 1.5 and I'm damn glad about it. Wait, still it didn't satisfy my father who has been so strict regarding my studies. By the way, I'm missing one course card up there coz it's with Roma (right, Ren? Did she get it from you anyway?). Tomorrow's going to be our consultation day for our project paper (oh, by the way, the topic assigned to us was the health issues, conditions, whatever at present)... then paper presentation next week before the final exam day. Oh well. I just hope Sir Carlo would make it easy for us coz I have learned that he's gonna give a bit different test but there'll be an essay part.

You're best investment is your people.

I was browsing about 2 days ago cyberspace on how much budget the government has allocated/allotted for the different sectors of the government. Actually I was supposed to look for the budget of the health department... luckily I have found that one out. It is around Php 11.7 BILLION. Okay, about Php 458 billion is allocated for the operation of the different departments. In addition to that, our debt service is more or less Php 329 billion. Sheesh. Pretty high, eh? That's not really surprising coz we owe trllions to the World Bank and International monetary Fund.

The Philippine Elections is just 3 days away and I have actually decided on who to vote (excited! bwahaha). Long-term goals of the politicians who are vying for the office should take into account the positive development of the whole nation. They should not pass bills or whatever that may just benefit themselves per se and their relatives, BUT it should be dedicated to the PEOPLE, the aim for higher EDUCATION, and the need for the betterment of public HEALTH... because educated people are healthy people which is the very need of this nation.

♥

Okay. Did I just talk about politics together with economics? Haha. I must say, I'm learning a lot from my summer class. Too bad I won't see crushness around. Nyahaha. Kiddin'. But I will greatly miss CONADEV as long as it's Sir Carlo who'll teach. Haha.

Anyway, need to try getting into more detailed research for our project. Lots of care, everyone!

:)

Consultation ditching

Today is a not-so-great day. Good thing I had the chance to talk to one of my classmates, Kris, and we were just laughing around while Sir Carlo's just listening to us. Sir Carlo asked, "Oh? Nasaan na sila Mr. Espiritu (referring to Chuckie.. I mean, Chucke. Haha. :p)?" I told him I don't know coz they weren't SMSing me and I just realized that maybe he's going to mail our professor our paper. But then, I still hate him... I still hate him with our other groupmates coz they didn't even think that I'll be there.

Anyway, I'm excited for next term... May 23! Yeay. Sorry to those who aren't ready yet but if you were in my shoes, you'd also be happy the same way as I am now. Haha.
